As you all know, these tournaments don't just happen. There is always a team of dedicated volunteers behind the scenes working hard to bring everything together in what appears to be a smoothly run operation.
This year is no exception and we want you all to get involved by joining us on the journey to Nationals 2007. This page will be updated regularly with photos and messages from the Tournament Organising Committee (TOC).
The TOC would like to thank all the volunteers involved and hope that this years tournament will be one to remember, so make sure that you get there!!!
PS If you want to know more about the TOC members click here.
The first official TOC meeting was held at the residence of the TD, Nicky Smith.

Keeping with one of the key themes of this year tournament, the 'Green Committee', headed by Suse Campbell, hold their meetings out in the fresh air and the somewhat what 'green' surrounds.

Your faithful TDs made the trip from St Kilda to the nationals fields at Bundoora. Yes - it may have only been 25kms away, but we did go by bike and the headwind was massive. After the trials of the trip out, the green oasis of lush fields that met us at Bundoora made all the earlier pain worth it. The more I saw of the fields and facilities, the more excited I became.

One thing that I can't stress enough to teams coming to nationals is that staying in the city is not a good idea. Even in a car, its a good thirty minutes to Bundoora from the CBD. Given that the all of the tournament parties will be around campus, I know I wouldn't be keen to do so much traveling each day. Please believe us when we say Bundoora is a long way from the city and that staying closer to the fields on the tram route is a much better idea! Cheers, |
